The ITTrms provides tailor-made cost-effective environmental monitoring solutions in the form of ITT SmartSense.

ITT SmartSense is an ongoing project with proven results in field studies in Brazil, Bangladesh and Sudan. Instead of purchasing ready-made systems, the SmartSense boxes are developed and assembled in-house, which allows us to tailor solutions to the client’s needs. When deployed in the field, the devices provide continuous measurements of agricultural, water-related, and weather parameters.

The sensor connected with the ITT SmartSense boxes records measurements and relay the readings to a remote server. The measured data is then stored in a database and can be accessed anytime.

One of the factors contributing to the high reliability of ITT SmartSense boxes is power management. The SmartSense boxes depend on a micro-controller which consumes about one tenth of the power of a typical system. This makes SmartSense suitable for long-term field testing at remote locations, as it only requires a small rechargeable battery and solar panel.
